In Him, everything that is supposed to happen will happen. Everyone we are supposed to meet, we will meet. Everywhere we are supposed to go we will go. He makes no mistakes. He doesn’t forget to protect you from things. He doesn’t forget to provide you with what was meant for you. So why not wait on Him if He knows everything you need? Why not say goodbye to those things that haven’t worked out (even if it still hurts) and lay them at
the feet of Jesus and let Him give you rest?

And here’s the thing: waiting on the Lord doesn’t just mean waiting around, and settling doesn’t just apply to dating. “Settle” means to “sit or come to rest in a comfortable position,” and that’s not the kind of life God wants us to live. He doesn’t want us sit around and wait for things to happen. He wants us to get up, get out, and go make the most of the life He has given us.

So don’t settle for less. Wait on the Lord, but don’t wait around, not do anything with your life. Every breath you breathe is a gift from God, so make the most of them. And one day you will wake up and be so glad you chose to wait on the Lord instead of waiting on this world. He has so much more in store and it’s worth it to be excited to wait and see.
